They roast small batches of freshly crafted coffee from imported beans worldwide, ensuring a fresh product without storage. The Ask:
Redesign their coffee bags with a fresh, modern aesthetic that embodies the natural beauty of Alaska's countryside.
The new design needs to feature a contemporary look while incorporating elements of Alaska's iconic landscapes.
The background showcases native scenery, including mountains, trees, and grasses, creating a sense of place and connection to the region. The design striked a balance between modern visual appeal and an authentic representation of the Alaskan wilderness.
For their smaller 2 oz bags, we leveraged the existing design while introducing brighter,
eye-catching colors that align with each flavor profile's name. This approach created a
cohesive yet vibrant look, enhancing shelf appeal and making it easier for customers to
identify flavors at a glance.
In 2024, they commissioned a new series of bag designs for their latest lineup of flavors. The design direction focused on featuring the captivating Northern Lights (aurora borealis) as the primary background element, paired with a modern typeface that would differentiate their brand from competitors. The design aimed to blend the natural wonder of Alaska with a sleek, contemporary aesthetic, offering a fresh and memorable look on retail shelves.
